"The course was held in a nice location and the atmosphere was informal and supportive. Louise was wonderfully enthusiastic and I have left feeling confident about embarking on a new career. Thank you so much"
"We both really enjoyed the course and had a smashing weekend away - so much so that we both feel as if we have the post-holiday blues!"
Funeral celebrancy is the art (and craft) of working with bereaved families to create a bespoke funeral service for their loved one.
The funeral celebrant is employed to plan, often to write and then to co-ordinate the funeral service, working closely with the family of the deceased. The celebrant then delivers the service at either a crematorium or in a chapel (usually adjacent to a burial ground.)
To fulfil this role successfully demands confidence, generosity of spirit, maturity and a range of other qualities - all underpinned by a commitment to hard work.
In recent times, the impact of Covid 19 has left few people unaffected. From the grieving families who have lost loved ones to those whose lives are fundamentally changed in many other ways, the effects continue.
Those who are fortunate enough not to have been bereaved may nonetheless have lost a way of life.
For many, now is the time for a re-think, to have a fresh appraisal, consider a new career direction.
Among many possibilities is an occupation for which the main qualifications are life experience, empathy, dependability, articulacy and above all, kindness.
This is funeral celebrancy.
